Last Years KBA Scholarship Winners. Congratulations to:
Thomas Bentley (Turpin) - Xavier University
".. KBA has been more than a means for me to play basketball. It has been a way to meet new people, spend time with people I already know, and also to just shoot hoops. All of these elements combined to give me valuable skills that I will be able to use throughout not only my career but also my entire life."
Daniel Feck (McNicholas) - Marshall University
"The most important thing I have gained from Kiwanis basketball is respect for others.. and fun to play basketball with. This has been a great opportunity, and has been a big part of my high school experience."
Alexander Luna (Turpin) - University of Toledo
"While Kiwanis Basketball is just a recreational league, designed for fun,.. applying what Kiwanis has taught me..; it'll lead to success,.. I'll have fun and make friends in the process
Each scholarship winner was awarded a $500 college scholarship on May 28th during the monthly Kiwanis meeting by Glen Perry, Anderson Hills Kiwanis President.
